eReaders sparked a zest for reading that died [for me] in the 2nd grade. I have freedom. I used to be a first couple pages reader now I read all the time. Four reasons:
#1. I can read what I want anywhere I want. Before the eReader romance novels like Hidden Pleasures or chunky self help books like You Being Beautiful: The Owner’s Manual to Inner and Outer Beauty by Dr. Roizen and Dr. Oz were left at home, exiled to the back of the bookshelf for embarrassing covers, bulk and content. Now I can flip back and forth between the two while waiting for a customer to arrive.
#2. 25,500 pages can fit into my purse.
#3. I’m able to read what I wouldn’t normally choose to spend money on. Like Grimm’s fairy tales and The Art of Optimism: As Taught by Robert Browning. A lot of the books I see myself reading… maybe… someday…(but probably won’t ever buy it unless it’s for a class) can now be downloaded automatically for $0.
#4. eReaders are designed to look chic. And they do.
If you’re considering it buy one. Or download the app. It’s worth it.
